AQUMON’s mobile app version 3.1.2 upgrade makes it easy for anyone to manage multiple investment portfolios directly on their smartphone!

We’ve received numerous requests from clients that they would love the ability to be able to invest into more than 1 of our signature Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) portfolios. You asked...and we have answered!

 

Why do we need to invest into more than 1 portfolio? Particularly for a year where global financial markets have shown high levels of volatility and return divergence we think this is something for investors to seriously consider. For investors that have stayed home-biased in Hong Kong stocks the year to date (YTD) outperformance by global, US and Chinese A-shares stocks has been +12.87%, +16.71%, +27.90% respectively (as of August 7th): 

 

 

Even though our portfolios are globally diversified individually they will have more exposure to certain regions. So for clients that want more exposure to Chinese A-shares and Asian stocks while staying diversified might consider one our Hong Kong listed ETF portfolios. Clients that feel they want more US-centric exposure can consider our US listed ETF portfolios. We feel this is a stable and diversified approach to adjusting your portfolios’ regional exposure. Here’s a look at our 4 different ETF portfolios and how they performed YTD:   

 

 

There is more exciting news on the way! This update to support clients investing into multiple portfolios is also paving the way for our upcoming income-orientated bond ETFs portfolio and also our thematic stocks portfolios which we plan to launch at the end of this year to early next year! So keep a lookout for our subsequent updates!

 

 

You now have better visibility and useability with your investments 

 

With access to multiple investment portfolios we’ve also given our mobile app a makeover to make sure you can easily see and manage your new portfolios. Our updated “Investment” screen allows our clients to see multiple investment portfolios in a simple glance.

 

 

Beyond visibility, our clients can now more easily sell, rebalance and top up their portfolios directly in each portfolio’s detail screen which should make it more user friendly than before. After our recent foreign exchange feature launched in May (which reduced an earlier pain point of our clients having to transfer US dollars to invest into our US ETF portfolios) now over 70%+ of all AQUMON’s clients now transact solely in HK dollars. In this most recent upgrade, we’ve also made the foreign exchange process more intuitive and clearer saving our clients both time and money. 

 

 

Your cash balance and fees are even more transparent 

 

Beyond your investments we’ve also improved the transparency of both your cash balances and also your fees:

 

 

The “My Account” page showing your cash balances can be easily accessed through the “Investment” or “Me” page via the navigation menu at the bottom. We feel this will further simplify our client’s experience which we hope will make their investment process even smoother.  

 

 

Your security is important to us

 

Some clients may notice that they are asked to re-login a little more frequently than before. Although this may seem a little inconvenient at first, this is done with the intent to improve our clients’ security. The next step after this upgrade will be to offer an even quicker re-login process (we are improving this) and more security customization in terms of how often our clients want to login. 

 

 

Furthermore, we understand when viewing your investment portfolio outside on your smartphone may not always be so most secure so we’ve added an ‘eye-icon’ that you can press and it will hide (or show) your total investment portfolio value, earnings and cash balance details while you are on the go.
